The performing arts are humanity thinking out loud. The Segal Organization underwrites orchestras, dance, opera, theatre, and the experimental work between them — funding new commissions, touring, and the education programs that bring live performance to those who’d otherwise never see it.
What we support
New commissions
We underwrite new orchestral, operatic, theatrical, and choreographic work — the repertoire of the next century, not only the last.
Touring
We fund the travel that lets ensembles reach audiences beyond the capitals, where live performance is rarest and most needed.
Education access
Programs that bring students and first-time audiences into the hall — and bring performance into schools that would otherwise never host it.
Residencies
Sustained relationships with companies and ensembles, giving artists the security to take risks across seasons rather than single nights.
